Back in November Nokia re-branded their music streaming service to Nokia Mix Radio, and now the company is expanding the service to China.
Nokia Mix Radio will be the first global streaming music service to launch in China, the service will be available in China later this week.
Nokia Mix Radio is currently available on 31 countries around the world, and Nokia are obviously hoping that an expansion into China will help them grow their user base.
Nokia has hired a number of influential Chinese musicians, which include Khalil Fong, Tia Ray and DJ Wordy to make playlists of local music.
It will be interesting to see how well Nokia Mix radio does when it launches in China, considering that China is a massive smarthphone market, and around 80 percent of the country’s users access the net from mobile devices.
