Nintendo’s E3 presser might not have garnered the wild anticipation the company not only expected, but sorely needed. However, the good news is that its new flagship living room product has one of the best launch line-ups ever assembled. And while impressive tech is vitally important to any console launch, it’s the software ecosystem built around that tech that ultimately makes or breaks it.
The line-up includes the obligatory ports as well as a few high profile franchises which are meant to demonstrate visual parity with other platforms. The only weak spot is the smattering of Nintendo exclusives, but that’s sure to be remedied with time.
