Camera manufacturer Nikon has unveiled a new rugged, waterproof compact camera in the form of the Nikon Coolpix W150. The compact camera is waterproof to 10 meters or 33 ft and can survive drops from a height of 1.8 m or 5.9 ft as well as functioning at temperatures as low as -10° C or 14° F.
Equipped with a sensor offering an effective pixel count of 13.2 million pixels the camera sports a 3x optical zoom NIKKOR lens and uses Target Finding AF technology to detects and focus on the primary subject, as well as recording Full HD movies with stereo sound.
“The COOLPIX W150 is a highly water-, shock-, cold- and dust-proof camera that supports shooting in a wide variety of situations, including capturing leisure activities at the pool or beach. A compact, rounded design makes it easy to handle for both children and adults alike. The addition of new and appealing colour options and patterns to the camera body will make shooting leisure activities even more enjoyable.”
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Nikon for the Nikon Coolpix W150, but as soon as information comes to light, we will keep you updated as always.
