ILM studios in San Francisco, Singapore, Vancouver and London each contributed to the film effects as did our partners Hybride, Base FX and Virtuos.
ILM’s contribution to the film cannot be overstated. The studio has been a pioneer in the field of visual effects since its inception, and their work on The Force Awakens is a testament to their expertise. From the intricate details of BB-8, the lovable droid, to the massive and menacing Starkiller Base, the visual effects team managed to create a world that felt both fantastical and real.
