Porsche have unveiled their eighth generation Porsche 911 at the LA Auto Show, the car gets a new design and features and from the photos, this looks like one of the best looking 911s in recent years.
The new Porsche 911 will come with a Carrera S and Carrera 4S models at launch, these cars are both powered by a turbocharges flat six engine with 450 PS, which is about 443 horsepower. The Carrera S comes with a 0 to 62 miles per hour time of just 3.7 seconds.
The turbocharged flat-six engine of the 911 Carrera S and 911 Carrera 4S now produces 331 kW (450 PS; 911 Carrera S: Fuel consumption combined 8.9 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined 205 g/km; 911 Carrera 4S: Fuel consumption combined 9.0 l/100 km; CO2 emissions combined 206 g/km). This corresponds to an increase of 22 kW (30 PS) compared with the previous model. Both 911 models beat the four-second mark for acceleration from zero to 100 km/h: the rear-wheel-drive Coupé needs 3.7 seconds and the 911 Carrera 4S with all-wheel drive just 3.6 seconds.
The new 911 comes with an eight speed PDK automatic transmission, the car gets a number of high tech features like Night Vision Assist with a thermal imaging camera and more.
