A new bug in Apple’s iOS software could freeze your iPhone, the bug is called chaiOS and it happens when you are sent a specific link in the messages app.
This new iOS bug was discovered by developer Abraham Masri and when the link is sent it will automatically freeze your handsets.

The bug apparently reacts differently when the link is sent, some people have reported it crashing and freezing their device, others have reported it causing lag and more.
We know Apple is working on a fix for the bug as it was included in the new iOS 11.2.5 beta 6 software that was recently released. The final version of the software is expected to land some time next week.
