UK mobile carrier Vodafone has announced that the new HTC One is now available on their range of contracts in the UK, and they are also offering the first 3000 people who buy the handset a free HTC Boombass.
The new HTC One will be available in Vodafone stores in the UK from today and it is also available from their online store.

The HTC One (M8) takes the principles of the One range’s ‘Zero Gap Construction’ and takes it to a new level. Now, instead of stopping at the phone’s sides, the aluminium that makes up the bulk of the new HTC One actually wraps right round to the display. This fully unibody build not only makes it far more durable, but it’s allowed HTC to make the phone thinner, too: the HTC One (M8) is only 9.35mm thick and weighs only 160g.
The HTC One is available on a range of plans with the carrier, and it is available for free on Vodafone’s Red 3G plans which start at £42 per month.
Features and Specifications
The HTC One (M8) is packed with a plethora of features that make it stand out in the crowded smartphone market. One of the most notable features is its Duo Camera system, which includes a 4 UltraPixel main camera and a depth sensor. This setup allows users to capture high-quality images with advanced depth-of-field effects, making your photos look more professional. Additionally, the front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel shooter, perfect for selfies and video calls.
Under the hood, the HTC One (M8) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. This ensures smooth performance whether you’re multitasking, gaming, or streaming videos. The device also comes with 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card, giving you ample space for all your apps, photos, and videos.
Design and Build Quality
The design of the HTC One (M8) is another area where it truly excels. The phone’s unibody construction is crafted from a single piece of aluminum, giving it a premium look and feel. The curved back and rounded edges make it comfortable to hold, while the brushed metal finish adds a touch of elegance. The 5-inch Full HD display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, ensuring durability and resistance to scratches.
One of the standout design features is the BoomSound speakers, which are located on the front of the device. These dual front-facing speakers provide an immersive audio experience, making it ideal for watching videos and listening to music without the need for external speakers.
The HTC One (M8) also comes with a range of software enhancements. It runs on HTC’s Sense UI, which is layered over Android, providing a unique user experience. Features like BlinkFeed allow you to customize your home screen with news and social media updates, while Motion Launch gestures let you interact with your phone in new and intuitive ways.
For those concerned about battery life, the HTC One (M8) comes equipped with a 2600mAh battery, which provides enough power to get you through a full day of use. Additionally, the phone supports Quick Charge 2.0, allowing you to recharge your device faster than traditional methods.
In summary, the HTC One (M8) is a well-rounded smartphone that offers a blend of premium design, powerful performance, and innovative features. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast, a multimedia consumer, or someone who values build quality, this device has something to offer.
