HTC originally started selling their HTC Butterfly smartphone in Japan as the HTC J Butterfly. The handset was also launched in other countries as the HTC Butterfly, and now it would appear that HTC is working on a new version of the device.
HTC is rumored to be working on a new updated version of the HTC Butterfly with improved hardware, although there are no details on exactly what upgrades the handset will get.
The original HTC Butterfly featured a 5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, plus a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It also features 2GB of RAM, plus dual cameras. Up front, we have a 2.1-megapixel camera for video chat, and on the back, an 8-megapixel camera for photos and video.
Potential Upgrades and Enhancements
While the exact details of the new HTC Butterfly’s upgrades are still under wraps, there are several areas where improvements could be made. For instance, the display technology could be enhanced to offer better color accuracy and brightness. Additionally, the new version might feature a more powerful processor, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series, which would significantly boost performance.
Another potential upgrade could be in the camera department. The front camera might be upgraded to a higher resolution, perhaps 5 megapixels or more, to cater to the growing trend of selfies and video calls. Battery life is always a critical factor for smartphone users. The original HTC Butterfly came with a 2,020mAh battery, which was decent but not exceptional. The new version could feature a larger battery, perhaps around 3,000mAh, to ensure longer usage times. Fast charging technology could also be included, allowing users to quickly recharge their devices.
