In conjunction with the rollout of the new Apple watchOS 6.1 update this week Nike has also made available a standalone version of their Nike Run Club application for Apple Watch making it completely independent of iOS are no longer requiring a connection to your smartphone. Nike explains “enjoy all the Apple Watch features without your phone.”
Once installed on your Apple Watch and powered up for the first time the Nike Run Club app will ask you a number of questions regarding your activity and health as well as asking to provide Nike with access to your location data if you so choose. The Nike Run Club app is now available to download for free directly from the Apple App Store.
