Neil Young’s Pono Player managed to raise over $6 million on Kickstarter last year, the device has already shipped out to Kickstarter backers, and now the music player will go on sale to everyone next week.
The Pono Player will go on sale in the US next Monday, the device will retail for $399, it will be sold in Fry’s stores in the US and will launch at around 80 stores initially.
This new digital music player is designed to support a wide range of high quality audio formats, which include FLAC, Ogg, Apple’s Lossless Audio Codec, AAC, MP3 and WAV, the Pono Player comes with 64GB of included storage.
As yet there are no details on when the device will be made available in other countries, as soon as we get some more information, we will let you guys know.
