Using your laptop computer daily on a traditional desk, can cause problems for some people after extended periods of time. If you are one of those people that finds using a laptop uncomfortable you might be interested in a new ergonomic laptop stand which has been created by Kep Taiz called the MüvFree.
The MüvFree has been specifically designed to be mobile and can be used as either a sit-stand desk for improving your posture, comfort and focus. Watch the video after the jump to learn more about the MüvFree project and see it in action.
The MüvFree ergonomic laptop stand project is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise $25,000 in pledges to make the jump from concept to production.
“The idea for MüvFree was born when I realized that I needed to change my relationship with technology. Too many hours sitting in awkward positions at the computer left me looking and feeling like a turtle with my head straining towards the screen. I started thinking: wouldn’t it be great if I could move and stretch? How much have computers become a major extension of the body? Many of us are virtually inseparable from them.
Problem: We are not designed for looking down for extended periods, holding the weight of our heads out in front of our bodies. It puts tremendous strain on the spine and is damaging to the entire body. Forward Head Posture and a host of other problems caused by poor ergonomics and too much sitting is wreaking havoc on our health.
Solution: Raising screens to eye level and having options for standing and sitting positions makes it possible to lengthen the spine, fine tune your posture, and integrate physical movement into the workflow.”
So if you think MüvFree is something you could benefit from, visit the Kickstarter website now to make a pledge and help MüvFree become a reality.
