Motorola is rumored to be working on a Google Nexus phablet codenamed Shamu. The alleged device has seen its fair share of rumors in the past few days, and was also spotted on AnTuTu.
Recently, the device in question — Motorola Shamu — was spotted on a logistics tracking website Zauba, revealing that a prototype unit with a model number XT1112 has landed in India for demo purposes.
The listing didn’t reveal any information about the specifications of the allege device, but we’ve seen those a few times in the previous reports. The alleged handset was spotted on a benchmarking website, revealing what it will bring on the tablet.
As per rumors, Motorola Shamu will rock 5.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset clocked at 2.6GHz with Adreno 520 GPU. The rumored Motorola Shamu will come with 3GB of RAM, a 13MP camera for photos and videos, 2MP front-facing camera and Android L as its operating system.
Let’s take this with a grain of salt as we’ve seen different reports, some are of the view that it will be a phablet with a 5.9-inch display, but the benchmarks prove otherwise. Let’s just take this as a rumor, we’ll update you as soon as we get more information about the alleged Nexus device.
