It looks like the Motorola Moto X may not be selling as well as Google had expected, we recently saw the price of the handset reduced, and now according to a recent report, this is due to lower than expected sales of the device.
According to the WSJ, the price drop of the Motorola Moto X was an attempt to boost sales of the handset, it will be interesting to see if this increases sales of the device.
Motorola is about to launch another new smartphone, the Motorola Moto G, although this is more of a budget device, which is expected to retail for around $200 without a contract.
Yesterday the Motorola Moto G was listed on Amazon UK with a price tag of £160 without a contract, the handset will be announced at a Motorola press event tomorrow.
We are expecting the new Motorola Moto G to go on sale on Thursday the 14th of November, as this is the launch date that was listed on Amazon.
We suspect that the Motorola Moto G will end up being a popular device, considering that it will be available for around $200 without a contract.
The Moto X is only available in the US, where as the Moto G will be launched globally this week, this could also help Motorola sell more of their new budget smartphone.
