Microsoft has decided to delay the launch of its previously announced Surface Earbuds missing the holiday season. The new $249 Surface Earbuds will now launch during the spring months of 2020. “Featuring an ultra-comfortable design, intuitive touch and voice controls, screen-free access to Office 365, immersive sound for music and calls, and all-day battery.”
Designed to compete with the likes of the new Apple AirPods, Microsoft will have their work cut out to beat the noise cancelling technology and sound from the latest AirPods which are expected to reach 60 million sales during 2020. Microsoft explains a little more about what separates them from competitors in the earbud market.
“Stay on top of your day with Surface Earbuds. With an ultra-comfortable design, intuitive touch and voice controls, screen-free access to Office 365, immersive sound, and all-day battery. Innovative design with four anchor points so each earbud sits securely in your ear. Find your perfect size with three sets of interchangeable silicone ear tips. The responsive touch surface enables intuitive gestures like tap, touch, and swipe. Skip a music track, adjust volume, make a call, or get assistance.”
Product-making is about the relentless pursuit to get all the details right, which takes time…sometimes more than we planned on. To ensure we deliver the best possible experience for you, our fans & customers, Surface Earbuds will now launch worldwide in Spring 2020 #Surface
