Microsoft’s online storage service SkyDrive will now be called OneDrive, the company agreed to rename the service last year after a trademark case with UK broadcaster Sky.
Microsoft has also launched a new domain for their updated cloud storage service, OneDrive.com, although the company has said that the service will not have any immediate changes apart from the name and the new domain name.
Why OneDrive? We know that increasingly you will have many devices in your life, but you really want only one place for your most important stuff. One place for all of your photos and videos. One place for all of your documents. One place that is seamlessly connected across all the devices you use. You want OneDrive for everything in your life.
You can find out more details about the Microsoft OneDrive over at the new website at the link below, the new OneDrive service is not live as yet, although you can register your email for updates on when it will launch.
