Maingear has announced that it has launched new custom desktop computers, notebooks, and workstation computers using the new AMD A-10 6800k CPU technology. The processor will be available in the Maingear Potenza and Vybe desktops. Maingear says that these new computers will be powerful and affordable at the same time.
The computer manufacturer says the computers using these new AMD APU and GPU solutions will rival the price point of next-generation gaming consoles making these budget next-generation gaming PCs more of a bargain. The AMD 80-series platform is enhanced and uses an x86-based CPU platform and an AMD Radeon HD 8000 series GPU together.
The APUs used in this series of gaming computers promise of 779 Gflop of computing performance and enhanced gaming with discrete level graphics. The graphics support DirectX, 1080p upscaling, image enhancement and video stabilization. The APUs also support installation of discrete GPUs. The AMD A-10 APU is available in the Potenza line starting at $799. In the Vybe line, the machines start at $649.
