Dr. Grordbort’s Invaders launches for free on Magic Leap One AR headset

If you are one of the few developers or consumers that have purchased a Magic Leap One augmented reality headset, you may be interested know that Weta Workshop’s long-awaited but highly anticipated AR shooter, Dr. Grordbort’s Invaders is now available to play on the platform.

The launch coincides with Magic Leap’s first developer conference, L.E.A.P. Con. which started yesterday and runs until end of play today in Los Angeles. The Dr. Grordbort’s Invaders AR game is now available for free as are all other applications currently available for the fledgling augmented reality platform. Check out the launch trailer below to learn more about what you can expect from the game companies headset’s gesture recognition technology.

The Magic Leap One Is now available to order priced at $2,295. “Far more than a headset, Lightwear is a portal into worlds within our world. Its cameras, sensors, speakers and optical relay work together with the superpowered processor in the Lightpack to provide unique input to your visual system for unparalleled experiences. Retinas are the canvas, light is the medium, Magic Leap One is the brush. Magic Leap One’s unique design and technology lets in natural light waves together with softly layered synthetic lightfields. Both the real world and virtual light rays initiate neural signals that pass from the retina to the visual part of the brain, creating unbelievably believable experiences.”
