It looks like we will be seeing a new LG smartphone on the 30th of May, as LG has sent out press invites to an event which is taking place in Macau in China, LG has not released any details on what will be announced a the event.
It is possible that LG could be announcing the LG Optimus GK in china, or maybe they could be introducing another device, although we doubt the event will be for the launch of the new LG Optimus G2 as this is rumored to launch in the 3rd quarter.
The LG Optimus GK was announced in South Korea recently, and it could now be headed to China, the device comes with a 5 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and a pixel density of 440ppi, processing comes in the for of a quad core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor.
Other specifications on the LG Optimus GK include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built in storage, there is also a microSD card slot that can take up to 64GB cards and the device comes with LTE and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
The LG Optimus GK features front and rear facing cameras, on the back of the handset we have a 13 megapixel camera for photos and video and a front facing 2 megapixel camera for video calls, there is also a 3,100 mAh battery.
As soon as we get some more information on exactly what LG plans to announce at their press event on the 30th of May we will let you guys know.
