Some of our readers will have seen some of the amazing creations by Jeffrey Stephenson before on Geeky Gadgets. His latest one is by far the coolest PC mod we have seen, the Level 11 PC.
Jeffrey took his inspiration for the Level 11 PC from the Thermaltake BMW Level 10 case, hence the name Level 11. From the looks of the photos, we would say Jeffrey has taken the design to the next level.
Design and Build Quality
The Level 11 PC has been constructed from a combination of hard Pennsylvania cherry with an aluminum inlay. This choice of materials not only gives the PC a unique and luxurious look but also ensures durability and sturdiness. The craftsmanship involved in blending wood and metal is evident in the seamless integration of these materials, making the Level 11 PC a true work of art.
Inside, there is a VIA P820 Pico-ITX motherboard, with a 1.2GHz VIA Nano 64-bit processor. This compact yet powerful motherboard is perfect for a custom build like this, providing the necessary performance while maintaining a small footprint. The PC is capable of full HD in 1080p thanks to the integrated VIA VX855 chipset and an HDMI port, making it suitable for high-definition media consumption and light gaming.
Performance and Features
Memory comes in the form of 2GB of Crucial DDR-800 RAM, which is sufficient for everyday tasks and light multitasking. While 2GB might seem modest by today’s standards, it is adequate for the intended use of this custom PC. A 160GB Intel X25-M solid-state drive provides the storage, ensuring fast boot times and quick access to files. The SSD is a great choice for this build, as it offers reliability and speed, enhancing the overall user experience.
Additionally, there is a slimline slot-load DVD burner, which is a thoughtful inclusion for those who still use optical media. The Level 11 PC runs Windows 7 64-bit, an operating system known for its stability and user-friendly interface. While newer versions of Windows are available, Windows 7 remains a popular choice for many users due to its compatibility with a wide range of software and hardware.
The Level 11 PC is not just about aesthetics; it also offers practical functionality. The combination of a powerful processor, sufficient RAM, and a fast SSD makes it a capable machine for everyday computing tasks. Whether you are browsing the web, watching high-definition videos, or working on documents, the Level 11 PC can handle it all with ease.
