Lenovo CEO Yang Yuaning will share $3.25 million of his bonus with the company’s workers, this is the second year in a row that the Lenovo boss has decided to share his annual bonus with his staff.
Around 10,000 Lenovo employees will receive a share of the $3.25 million bonus, and each employee will get around $325 in 20 countries around the world.
85 percent of the bonus payments will be made to Lenovo employees in China, and the $325 is about the equivalent of the average monthly salary in China.
“This payment is personally funded by Yuanqing,” Qiao said in the memo. “He believes that he has the responsibility as an owner of the company, and the opportunity as our leader, to ensure all of our employees understand the impact they have on building Lenovo.”
