Iconic camera design company and manufacturer Leica has confirmed that their new Leica M-E (Typ 240) rangefinder camera will be available to purchase next month with prices starting from $3995. The full frame compact camera makes the range of M Series cameras a little more accessible and offers a compact rangefinder design equipped with a 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor offering a high light sensitivity of up to ISO 640.
The M-E (Typ 240) camera is equipped with a 2GB buffer memory and is capable of capturing three frames per second as well as 1080p video recording. “The Leica M-E (Typ 240) is distinguished by a timelessly elegant aesthetic and high-end construction; each model is handcrafted in Germany. The compact camera body is dust and spray water resistant, while the genuine leather trim offers both a sophisticated appearance and a safer grip on the camera. Top and base plate are finished in an anthracite grey paint which has been developed especially for the M-E.”
On the rear of the camera is a 3-inch 920k-dot screen and the viewfinder has a 0.68x magnification, while the camera casing has been designed to be both dust and spray proof.
The new Leica M-E (Typ 240) rangefinder camera will be available to purchase towards the end of July 2019 priced from $3,995 for the body only. For full specifications jump over to the official Leica website by following the link below.
