A new single board computer has been unveiled this week in the form of the Khadas VIM3L aimed at HTPC builders offering a mini PC powered by an Amlogic S905D3 quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor supported by Mali G31 MP2 graphics and 2GB of RAM. The small computer supports all major deep learning frameworks including TensorFlow and Caffe.
Other specifications include connectivity via HDMI, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and USB-C ports as well as network connectivity via a Gigabit Ethernet and wireless 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 support. The mini PC is also equipped with a 40-pin header, GPIO expander, power, function, and reset buttons, and two external antenna’s. The Khadas VIM3L mini PC is available from $50 for the board only or as part of a HTPC kit bundle priced at $70 and includes a VIM3L PC, transparent case, metal plate, IR remote control and CoreELEC operating system pre-installed.
