This conceptual iPhone speaker system designed by Chun-Chieh Yang and is reminiscent of a Rubik’s cube puzzle rather than a traditional speaker. When collapsed the speaker is a perfect square and unfolds to reveal more and more paperthin speaker panels and is aptly named the flexible speaker.
The paper thin speaker panels would be created from a Flat Flexible Laminated, (FFT) Loudspeaker technology and as you unfold the device the more panels you expose the higher the volume and as you fold it up the volume decreases. The creator explains it by imagining that each connecting piece of the speaker is an individual mouth. Opening one piece is just like opening a mouth. If fully open the speaker it will be a choir singing a song.
