Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones went up for pre-order last Friday, the handset will go on sale on Friday the 19th of September, and whilst we do not have any official sales figures, there are reports that this is Apple’s best iPhone launch to date.
On the weekend we heard that Apple said that they have had record pre-orders of the new iPhone 6 models, last year the company sold 9 million pre-orders of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, this year the pre-orders are reported to be much higher.
According to a recent report, over 16 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets were pre-ordered in the first 24 hours, of course these figures have yet to be confirmed by Apple.
If these figures are correct, this would make the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 launch the most successful iPhone launch to date, and with the handsets launching next Friday, Apple could also report record sales of the devices in their retail stores as well.
It will be interesting to get some official figures from Apple, to find out exactly how many handsets they have sold of their new larger screened iPhones.
As soon as we get some more details on how many handsets Apple has sold, we will let you guys know.
