We have already seen the new sapphire glass iPhone 6 display attacked by a knife and a hammer, and now someone has decided to drive a car over the display in an attempt to break it.
The sapphire display on the iPhone 6 appears to be considerably stronger than the current iPhone 5S display, with the knife and hammer doing no damage to the device, not even scratches, have a look at the video below, to see how well it does with a 1.6 ton car driving over it.
As expected the iPhone 6 display shattered when the car drove over it, hardly surprising, although the display looks to be about the toughest we have seen so far considering the previous videos.
Apple are expected to release a 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch version of the new iPhone 6, both are said to feature a sapphire display, and also a minimum resolution of 1704 x 960 pixels, although the 5.5 inch model may come with a Quad HD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Both versions of the new iPhone 6 are expected to feature Apple’s new 64-bit mobile processor, the Apple A8, and they will also come with more RAM than the current iPhone 5S, plus improved graphics.
We are also expecting new cameras in the iPhone 6, the 5.5 inch model is said to get a more advanced camera with OIS and the 4.7 inch model is rumored to come with EIS.
We are expecting the new iPhone to be made official on the 9th of September, the handset is rumored to go on sale on the 19th of September.
