The iPad Air 2 has yet to be released, we are expecting the device some time over the next few months, and had previously heard that it may feature an IGZO display, although it looks like that wont happen until the iPad Air 3.
According to a recent report, the iPad Air 3 will be the first iPad to get an IGZO display, and that device wont launch until 2015.
The reason for the no IGZO display on the iPad Air 2 is apparently because of low yields on the displays from Sharp, who are making the displays for the next generation iPad Air.
IGZO displays are apparently designed to give improved viewing angles over existing LCD displays, they also provide improved color accuracy and are more power efficient that current LCD displays.
The new iPad Air 2 is expected to come with a built in fingerprint sensor, Apple will use a new TouchID sensor which will launch in the new iPhone 6. The new tablet is also expected to be powered by the same Apple A8 processor that will launch this their new iPhone.
As well as the new iPad Air 2, we are also expecting to see a new iPad Mini 3, both devices are rumored to launch some time over the nest few months.
