On the weekend we heard that Apple are rumored to be holding an iPad press event on Thursday the 16th of October, the company will also announced a number of other devices at the event, including the iPad Mini 3 with Retina display.
Based on what Apple has done in the past we can speculate on the iPad Air 2 release date, if Apple does announced the device on the 16th of October, then they could put the iPad Air 2 up for pre-order on Friday the 17th of October.
Apple usually put their new devices up for pre-order for a week before launch, they have done this is the past with previous iPads and also their iPhone launches, which would mean that the new iPad Air 2 release date could be Friday the 24th of October.
Apple’s new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 are expected to keep the same design as the current models, although both devices are said to get a number of updates.
The new range are expected to come with a built in fingerprint sensor and Apple’s TouchID, both devices are also said to come with Apple Pay, which will be launching when Apple releases iOS 8.1.
Both models of Apple’s new tablets are rumored to come with the Apple A8 processor, this is Apples second generation 64-bit processor that was launched with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
As well as the new iPads, we are also expecting to see a number of other new devices as the event, which may include a new Mac Mini, Retina iMac’s, and a new Apple TV, as soon as we get more details on exactly what Apple will be launching, we will let you guys know.
