We’ve heard a lot about the upcoming iPads in the past few months, especially the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which is also expected to see the light of the day later this year.
According to a new report from Re/code, Apple’s next big event will take place on October 16th at Town Hall Auditorium in Cupertino. The event will not be as big as the company’s September event, but we’re hoping to see a number of new products at the event.
Rumors suggest Apple will unveil its new iPad line up at the press event later this month, along with the new iMacs as well. Additionally, we may get to hear more about OS X Yosemite and Apple Pay as well.
Starting off with the iPads, Apple is said to launch a new iPad Air as well as the iPad Mini later this month with improved specifications, and possibly new color options. The tablets are expected to come with an A8 processor, Touch ID sensor, Apple Pay and iOS 8 as its operating system. Rumors also suggest we’ll see a bigger 12-inch iPad at the event as well.
As for the iMacs, Apple is expected to introduce a new 27.5-inch iMac with 5K resolution, as well as a new 21.5-inch iMac. The design and dimensions are rumored to be the same, with the major changes taking place in terms of hardware.
Apple has not confirmed anything about the October 16th event, but we’ll update you as soon as they do. Until then, a grain of salt is required, despite Re/code’s accurate track record.
