Apple are expected to launch a new Apple TV some time before the end of the year, the device could possibly be announced at Apple’s iPad event next month.
The new Apple TV is expected to come with some major new features, and now it looks like one of them will be support for Apple’s new home automation software which is called HomeKit.
Aaron Tiley from Forbes recently discovered HomeKit integration that was added to the existing third generation Apple TV in a recent software update, so if the current devices is getting HomeKit then we it is pretty obvious that the new Apple TV will also get HomeKit support.
Apple are expected to add a wide range of new features in the new Apple TV, the device is said to be capable of running apps and games and will also come with more content and more features.
We have heard rumors in the past that the Apple TV will be used as a HomeKit hub for controlling various things around your home, and Apple may also bring their voice assistant Siri to the new Apple TV, which would you to control home automation tasks with voice control.
