Apple released their new iOS 11.1 software update last week, we have already seen a number of videos of the software in action. Now we have some new videos of iOS 10.3.3 vs iOS 11.1 being run on older Apple devices to see which is faster.
In the videos below we get to see the iOS 10.3.3 vs iOS 11.1 being run on the iPhone 5S side by side, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6S. In the first video we get to see the new iOS 11.1 being run on the iPhone 5S along with the iOS 10.3.3. software which some users have not upgraded from As yet. Around 28% of Apple devices are running the older iOS 10.3.3 according to Mixpanel.
As we can see from the video the the older iOS 10.3.3 booted up faster on the iPhone 5S, it also appears to be faster whilst running various apps on the 5S. Next up is the iPhone 6 with the two versions of Apple’s iOS running side by side.
From the video we can see that the iOS 10.3.3 software booted up faster on the iPhone 6m it also appears to be slightly faster whilst running various apps. Finally we have iOS 10.3.3 vs iOS 11.1 running on the iPhone 6S.
As we can see from the iPhone 6S video the handset booted up faster on the iOS 10.3.3 software, it also appears to be slightly faster in some of the apps. Whilst the older iOS 10.3.3 appears to be slightly faster on each handset, it is important to note that the iOS 11.1 software comes with a major security update for the KRACK, WiFi security flaw, this should be enough to make you want to upgrade to the lates version of iOS.
