
The new Apple iOS 11.1 software was released earlier this week and now we have a video of iOS 11.1 vs iOS 11.0.3 tested for speed. The new iOS software brings a range of new features to the iPhone and iPad and it also comes with some performance improvements and more.
In the videos below we get to see iOS 11.1 vs iOS 11.0.3 being run on a number of Apple devices, this includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and iPhone 7. The first video is of the software running on two iPhone 5S handsets.
As we can see from the video the iPhone 5S boots up quicker with iOS 11.1, it also appears faster in some of the apps. The next video shows the two versions of iOS on the iPhone 6.
As we can see from the video the iPhone 6 also appears to be faster with the latest version of iOS running on the handset, although iOS 11.0.3 did boot up slightly faster Next up is the iPhone 6S.
The iPhone 6S also booted up slightly slower with the new iOS 11.1 update, although it does appear slightly faster overall. The last video is the iPhone 7 which you can see below.
The iPhone 7 was faster at booting up with the new iOS 11.1 software and also appeared to be faster overall whilst running apps. In general it looks like the latest version of iOS brings some speed improvements to the majority of devices. We also heard recently that the update brought some battery life improvements to the iPhone and iPad.
