As we mentioned previously, Apple was expected to release the iOS 11.1 software update before the launch of the iPhone X this week. Apple has now released the update for the iPhone and iPad and it is now available to download for your device.
The iOS 11.1 update brings a range of new features to the iPhone and iPad, these include the new emoji, plus a number of bug fixes and performance improvements for Apple’s devices. There are more than 70 new Emoji which include food, animals and more.
The update fixes a range of issues relating to the Photos app on the iPhone and iPad, there are also a number of other fixes in the software, you can see some of these in the picture below.
We saw previously that the update could bring some improvements to the battery life on your device. This was after the new software was tested against the previous release on the iPhone. This will be welcomed by many iPhone users as there have been complaints of battery life issues since the release of iOS 11.
You can install the update on your iPhone and iPad from the settings menu. You need to go to Settings > General > Software update and then install the update. You can find out more details about the latest version of iOS, over at Apple at the link below.
