The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 launched with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and it was later confirmed that it will not get Android 4.4 KitKat. Last November, Huawei confirmed that Ascend Mate 2 will get the sweet taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop in the first half of 2015.
If you happen to be a proud owner of the Huawei Ascend Mate 2, there’s some good news for you. The company has opened registrations for Ascend Mate 2 owners who are interested in testing out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
Starting today, we are inviting our community users to preview an early release of the new Mate2 software. If you would like to apply to join our Friendly User Test program, please leave a comment below.
Huawei will invite an initial group of Mate2 owners for this first stage of testing and then gradually expand the program as we get closer to the broader launch next month. We will continue to enhance the software, even after the initial version is made available, to deliver the best experience to you, our customers. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on the Android L update for Mate2.
Just head over to the registration page if you are interested in trying out the new operating system for your handset.
