We have been hearing rumors about the new HTC Nexus 9 tablet for some time, Google and HTC have yet to confirm the devices existence, although it looks like NVIDIA has now confirmed the new HTC Nexus 9.
The existence of the HTC Nexus 9 was confirmed in a legal document that is being used in a patent lawsuit against both Samsung and Qualcomm, you can see the reference to the HTC Nexus 9 below.
This documents confirms two rumors about the new Nexus 9, it will be made by HTC and it will use the new NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor.
We previously heard that the HTC Nexus 9 would come with an 8.9 inch display with a resolution of 2048 x 1440 pixels, the debice is also rumored to come with 4GB of RAM and a choice of either 16GB or 32GB of included storage.
Other rumored specifications on the Nexus 9 tablet include a 3 megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls, and an 8 megapixel rear camera. The device will also come with WiFi, Bluetooth and NFC, and it is expected to run the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android 4.4 KitKat.
It is not clear as yet on when the new HTC Nexus 9 will launch, the document references quarter three of 2014, this end on the 30th of September, so if the device is going to launch by then, we would expect an official announcement over the next few weeks.
