Earlier today HTC announced two new Android smartphones, the HTC Desire Z and the HTC Desire HD. The HTC Desire HD is the European equivalent of the HTC Evo without the 4G.
HTC has now released some more specifications on the HTC Desire HD, it will come with a 4.3 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, there is also 1.5GB of internal storage and 768MB of RAM, and it comes with Android 2.2 Froyo.
The Desire HD features an 8 megapixel camera with built in autofocus and a dual LED flash, other features on the camera include automatic face detection, a range of effects which include depth of filed, vignette and more, there is also geotagging and the ability to record HD video in 720p.
The HTC Desire HD features 3G connectivity with download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 5.76 Mbps, there is also GPRS, EDGE and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
Storage is in the form of a microSD card slot on top of the 1.5GB of built in storage, and you can put up to a 32GB microSD card in the Desire HD, there is also a 3.5mm audio jack.
There are a range of features on the HTC Desire HD which include a G-Sensor, a digital compass, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor.
The Desire HD comes with HTC’s new Sense UI and has a range of widgets which include Bookmarks, Calculator, Calendar, Clock, FM Radio, Friend Stream, HTC Likes, Mail, Messages, Music, My shelf, Navigate, News, People, Search Anywhere, Settings, Stocks, Twitter™, Weather, and more.
The Desire HD features a 1230 mAh battery that will gine you up to 490 hours of standby time, and up to 550 minutes of talk time, it also features WiFi and USB tethering, and Bluetooth 2,1 with EDR.
