Kimberly Wu the designer behind Hackpack explains a little more about her new concept.
Hackpack: The 4-In-1 Commuter Bag
An extremely versatile bag that lets you wear it like a backpack or sling when commuting to work and switch it to a briefcase or messenger bag once you arrive. It is important to look professional in the workplace. Briefcases and laptop bags provide the necessary aesthetic for looking good in the office but are impractical once you leave. They lack storage, can be uncomfortable to travel with, and are clumsy when speed and efficiency are needed. Backpacks and slings are comfortable options for carrying everything needed for a day however, they lack formality for workplace settings and can make you feel out of place.
Hackpack converts into 4 different configurations making you ready for any situation! No matter how you commute to work Hackpack transforms to boardroom-ready in seconds. The briefcase stands up on its own without flopping over like most soft briefcases. It fits perfectly under airplane seats giving you a worry-free commute. They simply slide down inside the bag into a snug compartment and out of view. They are easy to grab and pull out when needed and rounded to comfortably sit in the palm of your hand.
