We are expecting Google to make the new Google Nexus 5 official today, the handset will apparently be unveiled on the Google Play Store later today, at around 8AM PST.
The Google Nexus 5 will apparently be unveiled today, and will start shipping from tomorrow the 1st of November, it looks like the handset may be available to order from Google Play later today.
We just heard of a possible new feature in Android 4.4 Kit Kat, a new cloud based storage system for Android, of course this has yet to be confirmed.
The Google Nexus 5 has started to land at various mobile retailer and mobile carriers, as yesterday we saw a number of leaked photos of the handset, which were posted to various social networking sites like Twitter and Google+.
All of the photos were posted by people who appeared to either work at a mobile carrier or a mobile retailer, with many of them coming from people in the UK.
The Google Nexus 5 will come with Android 4.4 Kit Kat and will feature a 4.95 inch full high definition display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 445ppi.
Under the hood of the Nexus 5 there will be a quad core 2.3Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, the handset will also come with 2GB of RAM and a choice of either 16GB or 32GB of built in storage.
The Google Nexus 5 will feature a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera and a rear facing 8 megapixel camera, the rear camera will come with optical image stabilization and will be capable of recording full HD video in 1080p.
We already know the price of the 16GB Google Nexus 5 in the US, the handset will retail for $349, as yet we do not have any pricing for the 32GB model, and there is no pricing on the UK version as yet.
We should have more details on the new Nexus 5 later today, along with full details on Android 4.4 Kit Kat, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
