Google has announced a major software update to its Google Glass, the update will bring a wide range of new features to Google’s wearable gadget.
The latest update to Google Glass adds a lock screen, which will work exactly like your smartphone or tablet, and no one will be able to use your Glass until you have unlocked the device using your secret Glass handshake.
Google have also added hangouts to Google Glass, you can now chat with your friends, send picture messages and more, in order to use this feature you will need to enable Hangouts on your Glass device.
Another new feature in the latest version of Google Glass, is the ability to directly upload videos to YouTube from Glass, and this can be done by saying ‘ok glass, share with YouTube’.
Another new feature in Google Glass is called Wink, this will let you take a photo by winking, this new feature is designed to make it easier for you to snap photos quickly.
Google has further plans for the Wink feature, and they have also announced that they will be launching their iOS app for Google Glass shortly.
