If you would like to increase your focus, boost productivity and beat procrastination then you may be interested in a new gadget launched via Kickstarter this week in the form of the Quickstarter POD. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the small device created by high school student Gary Peng from San Diego.
POD has been designed to be used along with the Pomodoro Technique, developed by Francesco Cirillo in the early 90s. “This simple technique motivates procrastinators to start working by breaking down daunting tasks into short intervals that are spaced out by short breaks. This technique trains your brain to work in short focused bursts for longer attention span and better focus.”
“In the digital age, the overload of distractions from social media and the internet have made focusing on a single task extremely difficult. In fact, an average worker will be distracted within 11 minutes into a task, and it usually takes 25 minutes to get back on track. The lack of focus on productive task eventually leads to procrastination, low productivity, and poor time management. As a result, it always feels like we are constantly struggling with time, racing against the clock to finish our task on time.”
