Dropbox has today rolled out a new update and redesign to its cloud file sharing and storage service software. Bringing with it a new photo viewer and improved file management.
The new redesign has been quietly rolling out over the last couple of weeks. But if you now login to your Dropbox online account the new features and simpler layout are all finished and ready to use.
Dropbox have now added a new action bar which sits at the top of the screen and provides you with actions that adjust depending on your needs and selections. For example if you select a file or folder the bar will change.
Within the design a new right click menu has also been added, which now provides quick links to download, delete, rename, move, copy and look at previous versions of files. Together with a new photo viewer, that lets you use the entire screen. Drop box explains:
“One of our main goals was to slim down dropbox.com and focus on the star of the page: your stuff. We’ve put all the tools you need at your fingertips, but only when you need them.”
More information about the new redesign can be found over on the Dropbox website blog post.
