Games development team CD Projekt Red have released a new trailer for their upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 video game which is currently under development and set in the same universe as Mike Pondsmith’s classic pen and paper RPGsystem, Cyberpunk 2020. Check out the teaser below which was premiered during E3 2018 this week to learn more about what you can expect from the highly anticipated game from the creators of the Witcher series of games.
Cyberpunk 2077 takes the form of a narrative-driven, open world RPG game set in the most vibrant and dangerous metropolis of the future called Night City. Within the game players take on the role of V, a hired gun on the rise, who just got their first serious contract. “In a world of cyber enhanced street warriors, tech-savvy net runners and corporate life-hackers, today is your first step to becoming an urban legend. The game features non-English-speaking characters. Players who do not speak the languages can buy translator implants to better comprehend them; depending on the advancement of the implants, the quality of translations will vary, with more expensive implants rendering more accurate translations”.
Unfortunately no official release date has been announced for the single player role-playing game built on the REDengine 4 games engine as yet. But the new Cyberpunk 2077 game will be available to play on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles when it does finally officially launch sometime hopefully in the near future.
