CTX Technologies has this week unveiled their new fully integrated mini computer, the MIseeTX. Incorporating all virtual input and output components into an extremely small footprint, and running the latest Windows 7 platform, this device is set to revolutionize the way we think about portable computing.
The CTX MIseeTX is equipped with a virtual laser keyboard, pico projector, and a 4.3″ LCD Touchscreen. Together with a web cam, HDMI input, microSD/MMC slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet, LiOn Battery, audio jack, speaker, and microphone, it offers a comprehensive suite of features. Users can choose between a 16GB or 32GB Solid State Disk (SSD) for storage. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.
Advanced Projection Capabilities
The MIseeTX pico projector is capable of showing image sizes up to 88 inches in wide screen format, making it ideal for presentations, movie nights, or even gaming. The projector has been designed to operate quietly, ensuring that it does not distract from the viewing experience. This feature is particularly useful for business professionals who need to make presentations on the go, as well as for educators who can use it as a teaching aid in various settings.
CTX explains:
“MIseeTX is the ultimate miniature computer with all I/O components built right in. It has the ability to allow connections for many external interfaces and can function with different combinations of projection, computer and LCD giving the user the flexibility to use or turn off features as needed.”
Connectivity and Versatility
One of the standout features of the MIseeTX is its extensive connectivity options. With Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities, users can easily connect to the internet and other devices. The HDMI input allows for high-definition video output, making it easy to connect to larger screens or projectors. The microSD/MMC slot provides additional storage options, while the Ethernet port ensures a stable wired internet connection when needed.
The inclusion of a virtual laser keyboard is another innovative feature. This technology projects a keyboard onto any flat surface, allowing for a full typing experience without the need for a physical keyboard. This is particularly useful for those who need to type long documents or emails while on the move.
The device also comes with a built-in web cam, which is perfect for video conferencing or taking quick snapshots. The audio jack, speaker, and microphone ensure that users have all the necessary tools for communication and media consumption.
Unfortunately, no information on worldwide availability has been released as yet, but when the CTX MIseeTX arrives, it is expected to be priced at $600. This price point makes it a competitive option in the market for portable computing devices, especially considering its extensive feature set.
