Apple is holding a press event tomorrow with a focus on education and now we have some details about the new cheaper 9.7 inch iPad that will launch at the event. Last week we heard that this new lower priced iPad may appear at the event.
According to a recent report by Bloomberg’s Marl Gurman, Apple is planning to launch this new cheaper iPad at their education themed event tomorrow. The current entry level iPad retails for $329, the new model is said to be cheaper than this.
Previous rumors have suggested that Apple may price this new 9.7 inch iPad at around $259. This would be the company’s cheapest tablet to date and would also help Apple compete with some of the cheaper tablets on the markets from companies like Samsung, Amazon and other.
Apple will also be showing off new software for the classroom at their event tomorrow, exactly what this software will be is not known as yet. Apple is also working on cheaper versions of its MacBook Air and MacBook notebooks. Previous rumors had suggested that these devices may appear at the event. Although recent rumors have suggested we will have to wait a little longer to see these new notebooks.
As soon as we get some more details on exactly what Apple will be unveiling at their eductaion themed event tomorrow, we will let you guys know.
