Buffalo has unveiled a new addition to their external hard drive range, tho month in the form of the Buffalo HD-PATU3. Which is equipped with both Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 connections, making it a universal storage solution.
The Buffalo HD-PATU3 external hard drive is compatible with both Mac and Windows computers, and receives its power from either the Thunderbolt or USB 3.0 connection.
Dropping the need for additional power supplies, make it easier and more convent to transport, and using bus-powered support. The Buffalo HD-PATU3 has been manufactured to be connected straight to a Mac system and comes pre-formatted HFS, but can easily be formatted for Windows use if required.
The Buffalo HD-PATU3 is available in either 500GB or 1TB storage capacities and pricing for the external storage has yet to be revealed.
