As well as announcing the BlackBerry 10.1 software update, and the new BlackBerry Q5 smartphone, the company’s CEO Thorsten Heins also revealed at BlackBerry Live that BlackBerry World, the company’s app store now has more than 120,000 apps.
He also announced that Skype will land on the BlackBerry Z10 with with the BlackBerry 10.1 software update, and a number of other apps including Moog, SoundHound, and iHeartRadio will also be launching in BlackBerry World.
When BlackBerry 10 launched in January, there were around 70,000 apps available in the BlackBerry World store, so the company has managed to add around 10,000 apps per month to BlackBerry World since its launch earlier in the year.
