Yesterday we heard that the BlackBerry Q10 would be launching in the UK with mobile provider Vodafone over the next few weeks, and now it looks like we have a launch date for the handset in Canada.
According to the guys over at Mobile Syrup, The BlackBerry Q10 will launch in Canada on the 30th of April with mobile carrier Rogers, and it could possibly land on the other carriers on the same day.
The BlackBerry Q10 is the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone to feature a physical QWERTY keyboard, the device will also come with a dual core 1.5GHz processor, and 2GB of RAM and a 3.1 inch AMOLED display with a 720 x 720 pixel resolution.
Specifications and Features
Other specifications on the Q10 include 16GB of built-in storage, plus a microSD card slot for extra storage, allowing users to expand their storage capacity up to an additional 64GB. The handset also comes with front and rear facing cameras. Up front, we have a 2-megapixel camera, which is perfect for video calls and selfies. On the back, there is an 8-megapixel camera which can record full HD video in 1080p, ensuring high-quality video recording and photography.
The BlackBerry Q10 also features a robust battery life, with a 2100mAh removable battery that promises up to 13.5 hours of talk time and up to 14.8 days of standby time. This makes it an ideal choice for business professionals who need a reliable device throughout their busy day.
Software and Connectivity
The Q10 runs on the BlackBerry 10 operating system, which offers a range of productivity features such as BlackBerry Hub, a unified inbox for all your messages, and BlackBerry Balance, which allows you to separate work and personal data on the same device. The OS also supports a wide range of apps available through the BlackBerry World store, including popular social media, productivity, and entertainment apps.
In terms of connectivity, the BlackBerry Q10 supports 4G LTE, ensuring fast internet speeds for browsing, streaming, and downloading. It also includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC (Near Field Communication) capabilities, which allow for easy pairing with other devices and contactless payments.
The device’s physical QWERTY keyboard is designed for efficiency and accuracy, making it a favorite among users who prefer tactile feedback over touchscreen typing. The keyboard also includes customizable shortcuts, allowing users to quickly access their favorite apps and functions.
The BlackBerry Q10 is not just about productivity; it also offers a range of multimedia features. The device supports various audio and video formats, and its AMOLED display provides vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it great for watching videos and viewing photos.
Overall, the BlackBerry Q10 is a well-rounded smartphone that combines the best of both worlds: the efficiency of a physical keyboard and the advanced features of a modern smartphone. Its launch in Canada on April 30th is highly anticipated, and it is expected to be well-received by both BlackBerry enthusiasts and new users alike.
