BenQ have this week announced the imminent availability of a new affordable home entertainment 4K projector in the form of the BenQ TK800 which provides support for true 4K HDR with XPR Technology. Offering “vivid colours and high brightness” even in ambient lighting conditions such as your living room. The 4K projector also offers dedicated sports modes that can be enabled when watching for football and sports to provide a more immersive 4K UHD 8.3 million pixel picture, that can be up to 100 inches in size. The 4K BenQ TK800 projector offers users a 4K UHD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels or 8.3 million distinct pixels for each frame which are combined with XPR technology and utilise the “revolutionary 0.47” single-DMD DLP technology” says BenQ.
The BenQ TK800 4K projector offers 3,000 lumens and improved colour accuracy and reproduction when compared with BenQ’s previous 4K projector the BenQ HT2550. “TK800 generates razor-sharp images and accurate colours devoid of artifacting such as blur, shadowing, and interference patterns for immaculate clarity. TK800’s 4K optical system uses only the highest grade glass for superior realistic image quality.” The BenQ TK800 4K projector with HDR support will be available to purchase during April 2018 priced at $1,500.
