ASUS has this week made available their new ASUS ZenBook 13 UX331UN laptop, making it available to preorder directly from the official ASUS website and partner stores, with prices starting from $999. Equipped with a 13.3 inch FHD NanoEdge display providing users with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Enclosed in an ultra-thin casing that ASUS is marketing as the “thinnest laptop on the planet” measuring just 0.5 inches in thickness and weighing 2.5lbs.
ASUS has also equipped the new ZenBook 13 with a separate high-performance discrete graphics chip, offering powerful portability and “pin-sharp text and incredibly realistic imager”. Thanks to its NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics processing chip with its own dedicated video memory, supported by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of solid state storage. Connectivity is provided by support for 802.11ac WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.2 technology and the laptop includes a 50 Whr battery capable of providing up to 14 hours of use from a single charge.
Other features include a wide 100 percent sRGB colour gamut ensuring vivid and accurate colours, together with a USB-C connection to deliver high-speed data transfers that are up to10 times faster than the older USB 2.0 connections.
