As well as announcing their new Asus VivoBook Flip 14 (TP412) convertible notebook and Asus ProArt mini PC system, Asus have also unveiled a new fitness tracker in the form of the Asus VivoWatch BP which provides both daily fitness tracking and blood pressure monitoring.
The Asus VivoWatch BP includes both ECG and PPG sensors offering users the ability to monitor real-time blood pressure measurements in just 15 seconds. The new Asus fitness tracker also features ASUS HealthAI technology to help users keep track of their blood pressure and health stats. Including metrics such as heart rate, sleep quality, activity data, and a useful de-stress index for those worried about high blood pressure. The data collected is then used to provide suggestions for a healthier lifestyle.
Constructed from medical-grade materials, the new 2018 VivoWatch BP is 70 percent smaller and 50 percent lighter than current wrist-mounted blood pressure monitors. Asus have also included a rechargeable battery that is capable of powering the wearable blood pressure monitor for up to 28 days on a single charge ensuring users can keep track of their health any time anywhere. Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet by Asus for the new wearable blood pressure monitor, but as soon as information comes to light, we will keep you updated as always.
