Asus has this week announced the arrival of a new Plus Edition version of its Xonar Essence One external digital-analog converter with headphone amplifier. The new Asus Plus Edition version comes with its own op-amp swap kit, allowing you to customise the tone sods to your exact requirements.
ASUS say they have extensively tested over 100 different op-amps and chosen the six which they deemed provide the most unique impact on sound character for the Plus Edition Xonar Essence One USB DAC Headphone Amp, enabling you to tweak your sound to meet your requirements.
Using 4 x TI-OPA2132PA op-amps and 2 x NS-LM4562NA chips that can be installed without the need to solder and comes with all the tools you need to install.
Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information is released we will keep you updated as always.
